With investors anxious about the continued volatility of the financial markets due to the COVID-19 pandemic, economists are urging traders that they should under no circumstances count on anything anytime soon. “Don’t count on it sport,” said former National Economic Council Director Larry Summers, adding that nobody should hold their breath. “With numbers going up some days and going down other days, it’s safe to say that the only thing you can count on is numbers moving around, but don’t expect the numbers to go up on a given day, or down if that’s what you’re into. We expect the numbers to continue to behave like this for sometime, so I really wouldn’t get your hopes up.” Despite the economists’ warnings, some investors continue to be bullish on the markets, hoping they might respond to more forceful trading rather than being left to their own devices.
