SILVER LAKE—In college friend Janet Thornbush’s holiday card this year, exactly one person was recognizable among the group assembled in Santa hats and holiday sweaters: Janet Thornbush herself. “I mean, yeah, it’s nice to receive a card from my friend Janet, but who are the rest of these people?” Alan Forth mused with a furrowed brow, as he eyed a space for the card stating, ‘We are all wishing you a happy holiday season from our household to yours! Xoxo, The Christmas Crew’ on his kitchen fridge. “To be honest though, I really can’t tell if these people are her parents, her siblings, or her roommates. Regardless, it’s nice to see she’s doing well, even if she’s all the way in the back of the group photo.” At press time, Alan was seen tucking the card behind a grocery list on his fridge.
